Canadian Mental Health Association Huron Perth Addiction and Mental Health Services is preparing to relocate its Stratford operations to a new facility later this month, beginning a two-stage transition aimed at improving access to services and expanding available space.
Starting Monday, April 27, every program and service currently delivered in Stratford by Canadian Mental Health Association Huron Perth Addiction and Mental Health Services will operate from a single site at 380 Hibernia Street.
During the transition period, services will temporarily shift locations so that disruption for clients and families is kept to a minimum.
The office at 540 Huron Street will shut its doors following the end of the day on Tuesday, March 17.
Beginning Wednesday, March 18, and continuing until Tuesday, April 21, individuals who previously received services at the Huron Street site will instead meet with their support workers at the office located at 10 Downie Street.
That Downie Street location will remain open until Tuesday, April 21, after which it will also close.
Operations will then resume in full at the new Hibernia Street facility on Monday, April 27, when all Stratford programs and services will officially be based at the same address.
Two services will follow a slightly different timeline. The Huron-Perth Clinic, which offers physician-led addiction medicine care, is scheduled to begin seeing patients at the Hibernia Street location starting March 23, while continuing to operate on its usual Monday and Thursday schedule. Meanwhile, the Stratford Connection Centre and Warming Centre will remain at St. Paul’s Anglican Church.
“Bringing all our Stratford-based programs and services to one location will provide streamlined access and, ultimately, enhanced care for our clients,” said CMHA Huron Perth CEO Catherine Hardman. “Change can be difficult, but we’re here to support those who access our programs and services however we can as we go through this transition period.”
The new headquarters for Canadian Mental Health Association Huron Perth Addiction and Mental Health Services in Stratford will feature roughly 9,000 square feet of office space designed to house the organization’s full range of programs and supports. The building also includes accessibility improvements, free on-site parking, and is located within walking distance of two public transit stops.
Anyone with questions about the transition or upcoming changes is encouraged to contact their support worker for additional details.
