Huron Shores Hospice has deemed its end-of-year fundraising campaign a success.
The Ripple of One: Creating Waves of Compassion fundraiser brought in over $95,400. The money raised will be used to directly support hospice operations and help prepare for the opening of a third hospice suite in the coming months.
Community organizations, service clubs, businesses, and more than 200 individuals donated to the campaign that closed out 2025. According to hospice officials a key catalyst for the campaign’s momentum was a commitment from Bruce Power to match donations.
“This campaign demonstrates what’s possible when a community comes together with compassion at its core,” Hospice Executive Director Cathy Herbert said in a statement. “Our community’s generosity allows us to continue to provide
compassionate end-of-life care and grief support close to home. We are deeply grateful to our donors, partners, and to Bruce Power for their leadership in matching gifts.”
