A 44-year-old man has been charged for allegedly stealing from a vehicle in Blenheim.
On Wednesday, a Chatham-Kent (CK) police officer spotted a suspicious man in a vehicle with the driver's door open.
According to police, the man identified himself to the officer before trying to flee.
The officer determined that the man had broken into the vehicle. He also had a court order prohibiting him from entering any vehicle without permission.
The man was charged with attempted theft and failure to comply with a release order.
He remains in police custody awaiting a potential bail hearing.
