Windsor reaccredited with HIGH FIVE after successful summer programs for children

The City of Windsor is celebrating after it was re-accredited with HIGH FIVE.

The designation recognizes the city's commitment to providing safe, welcoming, inclusive, and high-quality experiences for children and families.

The city said 6,000 children registered for its summer camps this past summer, while 1,300 took part in their weekly SUPIE programs in parks across Windsor.

"This accreditation reflects a strong commitment to these principles, highlighted by exceptional assessment results and ongoing excellence in program quality and staff training, helping ensure that every child can play, learn, grow, and thrive," said Commissioner of Community Services, Michael Chantler.

HIGH FIVE is a quality assurance framework for recreation and sport programs. Cities are evaluated on staff training, programs, and organizational standards.

Meanwhile, fall registration is open for Session 1, Session 2, and Before and After School programs.
