Lottery players in Grey County have 40 million reasons to search their homes and vehicles before the end of the month.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) announced on Monday that the $40 million winning Lotto Max ticket from the October 28, 2025 draw sold in the county has so far gone unclaimed and is about to expire. Lottery players have one year from the draw date to claim lottery prizes.
The winning numbers on the unclaimed ticket are 06, 14, 17, 19, 26, 43, 45, with Bonus Number 27.
The ticket was purchased at an authorized lottery retailer in Grey County, but no other details about which one have been released.
"OLG has very detailed information about this winning ticket. However, because the ticket was purchased at a lottery retailer, we don’t know the identity of the person or group that purchased it," OLG said in a statement. "We encourage OLG lottery players to check places where they typically store their tickets, such as clothing pockets, personal accessories (e.g., handbags, backpacks, wallets, and computer bags), vehicle glove compartments or sun visors, and kitchen, bedroom or office drawers."
OLG added that as Grey County is popular with tourists and cottagers, it is possible the person who bought the ticket may have forgotten about it after returning home.
Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket can go to the "unclaimed tickets" page at OLG.ca and fill in the required information to start a claim or call OLG at 1-800-387-0098.
