Two men charged after street race leads to crash

Windsor police say two men have been cited after a street race went terribly wrong on Tuesday.

An officer with the Traffic Enforcement Unit was monitoring traffic in the area of Wyandotte Street East and Drouillard Road at around 4 p.m., when they spotted a pair of vehicles street racing. One of the vehicles went out of control and hit the other one.

No one was hurt.

A 29-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were each cited for stunt driving.

Both drivers had their vehicles impounded for 14 days, and their licences are suspended for 30 days. Additional penalties may apply once the matter is dealth with in court.
