The much-anticipated Winterfest 2026 is returning to Sauble Beach for another unforgettable weekend of winter fun and community celebration. Hosted by the Sauble Beach Chamber of Commerce, this seasonal tradition offers something for everyone, from spirited games and family activities to community gatherings and festive highlights.
The festival takes place at the Sauble Beach Community Centre on 30 Community Centre Drive, starting on Friday, January 16 and running through Saturday, January 17. Locals, seasonal residents, and visitors alike are invited to come together to share in the winter spirit.
Winterfest brings a full weekend of activities designed for all ages. Highlights include the parade up Main Street, a tradition that brings the community together in festive flair. Attendees can also take part in a silent auction supporting local causes like the Amabel-Sauble Community School, or cozy up around a bonfire and enjoy horse-drawn sleigh rides. Trivia night, a sell-out favourite, offers plenty of laughs and challenges local knowledge, while road hockey and games provide friendly competition for participants of all ages.
Saturday morning kicks off with the Lions Club pancake breakfast, giving visitors a hearty start to the day. The festival also hosts a variety of tournaments and activities, including ball hockey, horseshoe competitions, euchre card games, and a kids’ zone to keep younger guests entertained. Saturday evening concludes with a Firefighters Dance, providing a fun and lively way to cap off the festivities. The Sauble Ski Club will also be on site offering free trail trials with rental equipment available, giving guests a chance to enjoy the winter landscape in motion.
Organizers emphasize that Winterfest has been a cornerstone event in Sauble Beach for decades. Originally launched in the mid-1970s, the festival continues to draw support from residents and visitors each year.
