Canadian Mental Health Association Huron-Perth is getting over $570,000 in provincial funding for critical repairs and upgrades.
The funding was announced on Tuesday by Matthew Rae, the MPP for Perth-Wellington. The upgrades are coming to the CMHA Huron-Perth's Addiction and Mental Health Services.
This funding will be doled out for the rest of 2026 and into 2028 through the provincial government's Community Infrastructure Renewal Fund. That fund allows for health-care system partners to "address their urgent infrastructure needs including upgrading or replacing roofs, windows, security systems, fire alarms and emergency generators," a statement from Rae's office noted.
CMHA Huron-Perth officially opened its new Stratford office at 380 Hibernia Street in April of this year. The organization provides a variety of services, including addiction counselling for youth and adults, mental health case management, peer support, court support, counselling for problem gambling/behavioural change, supportive housing, community withdrawal management and more.

"The Canadian Mental Health Association Huron Perth – Addiction and Mental Health Services plays a vital role in supporting individuals and families across Perth County," said MPP Rae. "This investment will help strengthen the organization’s ability to deliver high-quality mental health and addiction services, ensuring more people can access the care and support they need close to home."
