Stratford police credit the use of a drone with helping to find and save the life of a missing person in Perth South.
The person was reported missing and possibly in medical distress around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The drone was deployed as part of the search, and using its infrared capabilities, picked up a heat signature in a nearby cornfield just after 11 p.m. Officers quickly went to that location and found the missing person. That individual was taken to Stratford General Hospital for medical care.
"The quick action of the officers involved and the use of this technology ultimately saved the life of this individual," police said.
