The date for the by-election of a new chief has been established by the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation.
Former Chief Darlene Johnston resigned in Novemeber due to health reasons.
The Electoral Officer issued notice this week that a poll will be held on Friday, March 6 to choose the new chief.
Eight candidates will appear on the ballot including: Beverly Nadjiwon, Pamela Linklater, Martha Pedoniquotte, Efrem Sandy, Nick Saunders, Veronica Smith, Norma Tobey and Charlene Winger-Jones.
Votes can be cast in person at the Community Centre from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
