The Wellington North Farmers' Market has an official opening date for this year.

According to a media release from the township, the farmers' market season will kick off on June 13 at 393 Parkside Drive in Mount Forest.

This is a weekly market that gives local vendors the chance to sell agricultural products directly to the community.

It will be primarily for the sale of food like meat, fish, poultry, eggs, butter, fruits, and vegetables, as well as horticultural products like flowers, shrubs, plants, and other products like home baked goods, preserves, home-made crafts, and wood products.

The Wellington North Farmers’ Market will run every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon in Mount Forest. The Market season will run from Saturday, June 13 to Saturday, September 26, with events planned throughout.

If you're a vendor interested in selling products at the market, you can contact township staff directly or learn more at www.simplyexplore.ca.
