Huron County launching new Taste Trails and Field-to-Fork Map

Huron County is launching a new Taste Trails and Field-to-Fork Map in an effort to draw more attention to the local food scene.

A statement on the county's website shares that the Field-to-Fork Map "is designed to help people connect directly with local food and beverage producers."

The Taste Trails takes from the larger Field-to-Fork Map and gives residents and visitors to the area four trails with different food experiences.

The trails experiences include the Farm Fare Trail, where people can visit local farms to buy fresh meat and produce. The Going to Market Trail gives a tour of farmers' markets and specialty shops. The Homestead Harvest Trail helps people discover roadside stands offering numerous products. Finally, the Vine and Ale Trail offers a taste of the growing winery and brewery culture in the area.

Interested residents and tourists can access the Taste Trails and Field-to-Fork Map online and at select local businesses and tourism centers across Huron County.
