Assault with a Vehicle

An 18-year-old woman has been charged for allegedly trying to run over her partner with her vehicle.

It happened before 6 p.m. on Tuesday on Gray Line in Tilbury.

According to Chatham-Kent police, the a verbal argument between the two escalated when the accused tried to hit the victim with her vehicle.

The woman was gone when police arrived; however, officers later found her driving and conducted a traffic stop.

She was initially arrested when officers believed she was driving while impaired. She's since been officially charged with assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and operating a vehicle while impaired.

She's been released from police custody with a future court date.

Break and Enter Assault

CK police have charged a man after a woman's home was broken into and she was attacked.

At around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were called to a home on Gillard Street in Wallaceburg for a potential break-and-enter.

When police arrived, they were told that a man and a woman got into an argument, with the woman asking the man to leave.

He allegedly came back, breaking a window to get in, and slapped the woman across the face.

The man was arrested and charged with breaking and entering to commit an assault.

He's since been released from police custody with a future court date.
