The Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board passed its budget for the next school year with no changes on Tuesday night.
The $356-million budget anticipates a small increase in enrollment in the 2026-27 school year, just 325 students over last year. The board anticipates school enrollment will be 23,250.
That total is also an increase of $7.7-million over this past school year.
The budget also projects a $32.2-million surplus by June 2027, of which $17.2-million is unrestricted for use by the board.
It also includes the addition of 18 full-time teachers and 25 non-teaching staff. That includes educational assistants, school administrators, and child and youth workers.
Trustees approved the budget in principle last week.
