Two men charged after Windsor restaurant burglary

Two men have been arrested in connection with a break-and-enter at a Windsor restaurant and pub.

In the early morning of April 4, two people were seen on surveillance cameras forcibly entering the business through a wall opening caused by an intentionally set fire earlier in the morning.

Cash, credit cards, jewellery, computers, and assorted other items were taken.

Soon after the break-in, one of the suspects allegedly went to multiple convenience stores, making fraudulent purchases with the stolen credit card.

The Windsor police's Target Base Unit took over the investigation and eventually identified the suspects.

A 45-year-old man and a 39-year-old man are both charged with break-and-enter to commit an offence and possession of stolen property under $5,000.

The 45-year-old is also charged with two counts of possession of a stolen credit card and two counts of fraud under $5,000.

The charges have not been proven in court.
