The next phase of the City of Windsor's 2026 budget process is scheduled for Monday morning.
City Council will begin deliberating the operating and capital spending plans at a special meeting.
Residents had an opportunity to present their thoughts on the budget two weeks ago, when delegations were heard separately from the council discussions.
The current draft budget includes a zero per cent property tax increase. When tabling the budget last month, Mayor Drew Dilkens said that the City's top priority was affordability.
"At a time when the cost of living is high, we are facing uncertainties in the global economy, and folks are working hard to make ends meet. This proposed budget sends a strong signal to Windsorites that we have your back," said Dilkens.
The budget includes $223-million for roads and sewers, and $29.2-million for community services.
Concerns were raised during the public delegations about transit, and what were perceived as a lack of service enhancements. People also had issues with proposed increases in user fees at aquatic services, ice time, community space rental, and day camps.
