OPP charge another two drivers with impaired driving

The Ontario Provincial Police continue to pull over drivers for impaired driving in Essex County, with two more charged over the weekend.

OPP officers investigated a traffic complaint around 1:20 a.m. Saturday on Lakeshore Road 113 near County Road 42.

A 28-year-old Essex man was arrested and faces charges of operating a motor vehicle while impaired and failure or refusal to comply with a demand.

Six minutes later and on the other end of the county, the OPP stopped a vehicle on Hwy. 3 at Walker Road in Tecumseh.

A 49-year-old Harrow man is charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit.

Both drivers had their licenses suspended for 90 days, while their vehicles were impounded for a week. They will make appearances in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on March 6.
