LPH reports two separate dog biting incidents

Lambton Public Health (LPH) is searching for two dogs and their owners after two separate biting incidents in Sarnia this week.

At around 2:30 p.m. on Monday, someone was bitten by a blond-coloured Cocker Spaniel across from The Nut Bar on East Street North.

The dog had a pink leash and was being walked by a woman with brown or blond hair who was accompanied by a child in a stroller.

On Tuesday, at around 4:45 p.m., a person was bitten by a dog on the north side of Norm Perry Park.

The dog, which was off its leash, is described as medium-sized, and light brown with short hair.

LPH said it was called back by the owner and they left the area before the victim was able to obtain information.

The dog's owner is described as a middle-aged white male.

Anyone with information about either incident is asked to contact LPH at 519-383-8331 extension 3812 or toll-free 1-800-667-1839.

LPH said if the dogs are not located and the health status of the animals is not verified, the victims will need to receive post exposure rabies shots.
