Billing it as a "vacation that gives back," the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo and Stratford Perth (HSKWSP) has launched a new 50/50 raffle fundraiser.
The WestJet Travel 50/50 Draw offers donors a chance to win a round-trip flight for two to any regularly scheduled WestJet destination, $750 in travel cash, and half of the 50/50 jackpot. The other half of the 50/50 stays with the humane society to help cover shelter, medical treatment, enrichment, nutrition, and adoption services costs for the pets in the organization's care.
“This raffle gives someone the chance to fly to their next vacation destination on WestJet,” said Victor Dinh, the director of development at the HSKWSP. “Best of all, every ticket purchased helps provide care, comfort, and second chances to animals waiting for loving homes.”
Tickets are available through the humane society's website at kwsphumane.ca until the end of November.
The draw is scheduled for noon on December 1.
