United Way launches Burger Battle for a good cause

United Way Perth Huron (UWPH) has brought back a fun food fundraiser to raise money for the services the organization provides.

The Ultimate Burger Battle in Huron County will run until the end of November. For every burger sold, $2 goes to UWPH to support programs and services helping vulnerable local people in our community.

The competing restaurants will be trying to get their hands on two awards. Those are the People’s Choice Award which will go to the fan favourite burger as chosen by customers, and the Most Burgers Sold Award goes to the restaurant that sells the most burgers during the month of November.

Participating restaurants include Dave’s Pub/Oakwood Inn located in Grand Bend; the Honest Llama in Exeter; Grand Bend Stirling Sands Vineyards; Local Rolla, Part 2 Bistro and Steve and Mary’s On The Square, all in Goderich; the Tipsy Pelican in Grand Bend, and the White Squirrel Golf Club in Zurich.

For details about the burgers visit the UWPH website. Restaurants interested in participating can contact Michelle Millar at [email protected].
