Owen Sound residents asked to weigh in on policing priorities

Owen Sound residents can have their say on future policing priorities in the city.

The Owen Sound Police Service Board, in collaboration with the Owen Sound Police Service, has launched a community survey. Through it, the board and police service hope to learn about the public's perception of crime, public safety, and overall satisfaction with policing in the area.

"Your participation in this community survey will assist in determining future direction and policing priorities for the Owen Sound Police Service," the board and police service said in a joint statement. "The information collected will be used to better address the needs of residents, to enhance service delivery, and to strengthen community relations."

The 26 question survey can be filled out online at www.surveymonkey.com/r/OSPS2026.

Paper copies can also be picked up and dropped off at the following locations:

  • Owen Sound Police Service at 922 2nd Avenue West

  • Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library at 824 1st Avenue West

  • YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce, Health, Fitness and Aquatic Centre at 700 10th Street East

  • YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce, Administration Office at 290 9th Street East

  • Royal Canadian Legion Memorial Branch 6 at 1450 2nd Avenue West
