In a post on Facebook, West Region OPP said it is part of an ongoing investigation.
Photos of the scene on Facebook show part of the park is fenced off, and a backhoe is digging up a pile of dirt.
Police advise that there is no concern for public safety at this time.
OPP said updates will be provided when appropriate.
