United Way Perth Huron (UWPH) has announced a new raffle contest built around local meat products and helping those in need.
The new Meat and Moolah 50/50 is a chance to support the work United Way does to help those who need it in the region, while also supporting local meat producers. The 14-week online-only fundraiser brings together meat producers from across the region with a series of draws.
Tickets are on sale now and will be available for purchase right up until the grand prize draw at 10 a.m. on November 30.
Prize packs will be drawn on October 5 and October 19, November 2 and November 16, and the grand prize on November 30, which will include 50 per cent of gross ticket sales plus a “Smoker” prize pack from 5 Chicks and a Farmer.
Prices are $5 for one ticket, $10 for 10 tickets, $20 for 50 tickets and $50 for 200 tickets. Winners of meat prizes will be asked to arrange pickup directly with the participating producer or retailer.

Oct. 5 at 10 a.m. — A box of bacon from McIntosh Farms (value $100)
Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. — A “Pitmaster” box from Green’s Meat Market (value $140)
Nov. 2 at 10 a.m. — A specially curated box of meat from JC Cattle Co (value $260)
Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. — A premium beef family bundle and Wagyu ground beef bulk bundle combo from Van Osch Farms Premium Beef (value $700)
Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. — Fifty per cent of gross ticket sales plus a “Smoker” prize pack from 5 Chicks and a Farmer (meat value $800)
