'Country Boots and Rural Roots' are coming to Gorrie this September.
The Howick Agricultural Society is gearing up for the annual Howick-Turnberry Fall Fair, happening Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26 at the Howick Community Centre.
Friday night kicks off at 6 p.m. with free admission, an Optimist wing night, auctions, and a fireworks display to light up the sky.
Agricultural Society spokesperson Jess Miller said the weekend highlights the very best of community craftsmanship, crops, and livestock displays, including Friday's opening night turkey, pork, and pie auction. And the fun will continue through Saturday.
"We have a live band out in the beer garden," she added. "Some food trucks are coming, with all of your favourite fair food, and some cold treats."
Miller revealed there will be several additions this year for the kids, with new mechanical rides and plenty of activities.
"One of the things is through the library. They'll do a kids craft," she continued. "We also have the kids pedal tractor show. We have a baby show going on, and a pet show. And then for adults as well, we have a cornhole tournament and line dancing lessons."
Daily adult admission is just $5, with kids under 12 getting in for $1. Organizers say the two-day pass is available for just $10, offering affordable, family-friendly fun for all ages.
