The Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre (BCMCC) is inviting the public to attend a new exhibit called A Traveler's Journey with Black and White Film.
This new exhibit is being showcased by local artist Dian Wise on Saturday, September 19 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
A Traveler's Journey with Black and White Film will showcase traditional black and white photography taken and processed by Wise herself over the last 30 years. It will highlight different cultures, landscapes and people from all over the world.
There are many different experiences highlighted in the exhibition, including a Maltese woman concentrating on the intricate craft of lacemaking, the stark desolation of an abandoned Greek village, a camel procession on the road to market in Morocco, and a close encounter with a Galapagos tortoise.
The opening event is free to attend and open to all, with light refreshments served.

"I am intrigued by how local people live and work in different parts of the world," said Wise. "To gain a better understanding, my role as a photographer is to communicate what I feel and capture that moment in the form of a photographic image."
"A Traveler's Journey invites visitors to experience the world through Dian's lens," Museum Director Cathy McGirr stated. "Her photographs capture both the uniqueness of cultures around the globe and the universal moments that connect us all."
