The Peninsula Family Health Team said its brought on a new physician for Northern Bruce Peninsula.
Dr. Shima Bagherzadeh has agreed to join the team and will begin seeing patients in August.
She will operate primary care at the Tobermory Clinic, hospitalist care at Lion’s Head hospital and long-term care support at Golden Dawn Senior home.
Dr. Bagherzadeh will also take over the roster of from Dr. Elaine Blau, who retired in March, as well as welcoming new patients from the Health Connect wait list.
"We look forward to welcoming Dr. Bagherzadeh and her husband Hassan to North Bruce Peninsula," said a statement from the FHT.
She is the sixth physician to join the Peninsula Family Health Team since 2016.
