Owen Sound Police Service says it has recovered approximately $110,000 worth of drugs after serving a search warrant on Canada Day.
Police said they obtained the warrant for an apartment in the 900 block of Second Avenue after a uniformed officer observed a large quantity of drugs while attending a call to remove unwanted people from the premises.
As a result of the July 1 search, police seized 214 grams of fentanyl, 112 grams of cocaine, and 52 grams of crystal methamphetamine, as well as approximately $1,200 in cash.
According to police, the estimated street value of the seized illicit substances is approximately $110,000.
Charges in relation to the investigation have yet to be announced.
The bust comes at a time when the City of Owen Sound have responded to a significant increase in overdose-related calls.
In a media release, Owen Sound Police said they are hopeful that these enforcement efforts will contribute to disrupting the local illicit drug supply and help prevent further overdoses in the community.
