The Kids Fly event is returning to the Saugeen Municipal Airport this weekend.
Saugeen Municipal Airport in Walkerton will welcome families on Saturday, June 13 for a day of free flying for kids. This event is being hosted by Friends of the Saugeen Municipal Airport and local area pilots who volunteer their time, fuel and airplanes.
Each flight last about twenty minutes and gives kids a chance to get an up-close look at a plane, watch a pilot in action and view local towns, farms and the Saugeen River from above.
Registration starts at 9 a.m. and kids need to be accompanied by a parent or an adult. If kids are accompanied by an adult who is not their parent or legal guardian, they must have a letter of consent from their parent or legal guardian in order to fly, with the parent’s signature, name and phone number clearly shown.
