An Owen Sound park is now equipped with lifesaving technology, thanks to a donation from the Tyson Downs Association.
The City of Owen Sound announced that a new public-access Automated External Defibrillator (AED SaveStation) will be installed at Harrison Park. The machine can be used to help those experiencing cardiac arrest. It is available on the north wall of the Harrison Park Inn restaurant, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 17 at 5:30 p.m. Action First Aid will be on hand to demonstrate how the AED machine works.
Based in Bruce and Grey Counties, the Tyson Downs Association offers free CPR and AED awareness training and education to youth aged 16 to 21. The Owen Sound Attack also supported the AED installation.
