Six firearms and various drugs seized in Kincardine

South Bruce OPP have arrested two people following a search warrant execution that yielded six guns and a quantity of drugs.

An investigation was started by members of the South Bruce OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) along with officers from the South Bruce OPP, Wellington County OPP CSCU, Grey-Bruce OPP CSCU, West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team, and West Region OPP Canine.

On May 22, a search warrant was executed at an address on Princes Street in Kincardine. Officers recovered six guns, suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, and opioids.

A 24-year-old and 29-year-old, both from Kincardine, are now facing a lengthy list of charges including multiple counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and careless storage of a firearm.

Both of the accused have been released and have court dates scheduled for June 24 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton.
