Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning. The notice announced that there is a risk of tornadoes, loonie-sized hail, and up to 90 kilometres per hour winds.
The alert is in place Saturday afternoon for Eastern Lambton County, Goderich, Bluewater, and Southern Huron County.
According to Environment Canada, the warning comes as a line of thunderstorms has developed in Michigan, which is expected to move east.
People are reminded to remain indoors or take cover during the storms and to secure loose objects. Environment Canada added that local utility outages are possible.
