Perth County OPP are asking for witnesses to a serious collision in Hampstead on Friday afternoon to come forward.
Emergency services responded to a crash around 2 p.m. on May 8, at the intersection of Line 47 and Perth Road 107 in the Township of Perth East.
The collision involved an SUV and a motorcycle. According to police, the motorcyclist, a 36-year-old from Shakespeare, suffered serious, life-threatening injuries. They were treated on-scene by paramedics before being transported by Ornge Air Ambulance to a trauma centre.
The SUV driver, an 87-year-old individual from Stratford, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for assessment.
The intersection was closed until 2 a.m. Saturday as members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team investigated.
