Pair wanted after multiple vehicles rummaged through in Georgian Bluffs

Georgian Bluffs residents are reminded to take proactive steps to protect against thieves after multiple unlocked vehicles were rummaged through and property stolen over the weekend.

Grey Bruce OPP received numerous reports of vehicles being entered and items stolen in the area of Balmy and Beach Road and Old Beach Road Saturday into Sunday. Police publicly released surveillance images of two persons of interest as they work to identify suspects. Anyone who recognizes the pair is asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Additionally, police are asking people in the affected area to review all security footage including security cameras, doorbell cameras and dash-camera footage for anything suspicious.

"Even small details may assist [with the investigation]," police said.

To help prevent becoming a victim of such thefts in the future police are encouraging drivers to lock their vehicles at all times, remove personal belongings whenever possible, and ensure that any items that must remain inside are kept out of sight.

"These simple precautions significantly reduce crimes of opportunity and help protect property," police said.
