Police allege the driver of a vehicle clocked going more than twice the speed limit in Flesherton was also impaired.
Grey Bruce OPP officers were conducting radar enforcement around 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday when a vehicle was recorded travelling at 125 kilometres an hour in a posted 50 kilometres an hour zone.
As police tried to catch up to the vehicle, it allegedly attempted to pass another vehicle, forcing a third vehicle heading in the opposite direction to pull onto the shoulder of the road.
Police stopped the suspect vehicle and detected signs of impairment while speaking with the driver. The driver was arrested without incident.
A 34-year-old man from Grey Highlands is charged with seven offences including dangerous driving, impaired driving, driving with an open container of liquor, stunt driving, and failure to signal lane change. The accused is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court in relation to the charges on June 4.
Additionally, the man's driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for two weeks.
