Minto to host Community Summer Clothing Swap

The Town of Minto's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee is set to host a community summer clothing swap.

This event will be held on Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Clifford Community Hall. It will be free for anyone to attend.

Residents and community members are encouraged to come out and bring clean, gently used warm-weather clothing such as shorts, capris, T-shirts, sandals, and everyday wear. However, there’s no requirement to donate in order to participate, as everyone is welcome to take what they need.

The Minto DEI Committee says this will give residents a unique opportunity to "clean out their closets, refresh their wardrobes, and reduce waste — all at no cost and with no pressure," according to a community media release from the Town of Minto.

Donation dropoffs will be held on Friday, May 8 from 4-6pm at the Clifford Community Hall Saturday, May 9 before the event from 8-10 a.m.

Other advance clothing drop off options from May 4-8 include:

-Service Ontario, 36 Elora St. S, Harriston

Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

-The Grove Palmerston, 390 Main St. E. Palmerston
