Make waves at Chi-Cheemaun Cruise and Connect event

Professionals from across Grey and Bruce counties can connect with each other, and the beauty of nature, as the M.S. Chi-Cheemaun embarks on a unique voyage next month.

The fourth annual Cruise and Connect event on April 23 is designed to bring together entrepreneurs, business leaders, and community members interested in fostering local economic growth. Organizers say the event continues to grow as a hub for building relationships, encouraging collaboration, and strengthening professional networks across the region.

Guests will begin boarding at 6:30 p.m. at 1155 1st Avenue West in Owen Sound, where the vessel is docked for the winter season. The ship will depart promptly at 7 p.m. and is expected to return at approximately 9:30 p.m., giving attendees a full evening to connect while enjoying the experience on the water.

Throughout the cruise, participants will be treated to complimentary hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and fountain beverages, with additional alcoholic drinks available for purchase featuring selections produced locally within Grey and Bruce counties. Entertainment for the evening includes live music from Gratefully Yours, along with DJ performances by Gabe Rossitter.

Networking activities will be led by Heather Travis, described as a public relations expert, marketing strategist, and small business branding coach, providing structured opportunities for attendees to engage and build connections. The event will also feature an interactive photo booth experience provided by InstaBooth Grey Bruce.

Tickets for the event are limited and priced at $40 per person, plus applicable taxes, with advance purchase available online.
