Hanover invites residents to shape downtown's future at Idea Jam

The Town of Hanover is inviting residents to help shape the future of its downtown through an upcoming community engagement event.

The Downtown Hanover Idea Jam will take place Thursday, January 29, 2025 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Community Hall inside the Hanover Civic Centre. The interactive session is part of the Town’s Downtown Vision and Action Plan, a long-term initiative focused on economic development, livability, and strengthening the downtown core.

Town officials say the event will give residents, business owners, and community members a chance to share ideas and help identify practical actions to guide future planning and investment. Food and music will be provided as participants contribute feedback aimed at building a shared vision for the downtown.

In addition to the Idea Jam, the Town has launched a Community Connectors program to gather input across Hanover. The connectors are engaging residents, businesses, and community groups through one-on-one conversations to ensure the plan reflects a wide range of perspectives.

Those unable to attend in person can still participate through online surveys and other engagement tools available on the Town’s website.
