Two people have now been charged following an investigation into a mischief incident at a roadside memorial in Huron East.
According to Huron County OPP, the incident took place on September 1, 2025. On September 2, police were called regarding social media posts that were circulating involving mischief to a roadside memorial site on North Line in Huron East.
Police began an investigation, and have now charged two individuals. One of the accused was 22-years-old when the incident occurred, and the other was 18-years-old.
Both of the accused are charged with mischief under $5,000 and indecent act. Additionally, the 22-year-old accused has been charged with fail to comply with probation order.
Now, both of the accused have court dates scheduled for February 23 in Goderich to answer to the charges.
