Applications are now being accepted for Clinton Raceway’s 2026 Day at the Races Fundraising Program, giving community organizations an opportunity to be part of the upcoming live harness racing season. The raceway is preparing for another summer of racing and community support.
The 2026 live harness racing season will span 15 weeks, running from Victoria Day through Labour Day. During that period, approved groups will be able to host their own Day at the Races event, choosing from available dates throughout the season.
The fundraising initiative has grown into a key way for Clinton Raceway to support local causes. Last year alone, the program generated more than $77,000, providing financial assistance to sports teams, charities, service clubs, and other community-based projects across the region.
“Going beyond the race means supporting the people and organizations that make our community strong,” said Jessica Carnochan, Marketing Manager. “Day at the Races is about more than fundraising — it’s about bringing people together for a fun day at the track while making a real difference locally.”
Day at the Races is designed to be both simple to promote and engaging for participants, pairing the thrill of live harness racing with a friendly, family-oriented environment. Organizers say the experience creates lasting memories for attendees while delivering meaningful fundraising results for host groups.
Applications are open to community organizations, sports teams, non-profits, charities, and service clubs. With a limited number of fundraising dates available, submissions will be reviewed by Clinton Raceway management and assigned based on availability. The application form will be open throughout January, with successful groups being notified and dates allocated in early February.
