A man lost his life in a single vehicle collision north of Hanover on Thursday night.
Emergency services responded to the call around 5 p.m. on Sideroad 5 between Concession 4 and 6.
According to West Grey Police Service, there were two occupants in the vehicle. The male driver was pronounced dead on the scene. At the request of the family, police say no information regarding the identity of the deceased will be released.
The other occupant of the vehicle, a female youth, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The road was closed well into the night as West Grey Police and OPP Technical Collision Investigations Unit investigated. It has since been reopened.
West Grey Police Service said it extends their deepest condolences to the family, friends and loved ones affected by the loss, and that no further information will be released at this time.
