Respiratory outbreak reported at Grey Gables

Grey Bruce Public Health has declared a respiratory outbreak at Grey Gables.

According to Public Health, three residents on the Maple Lane home area are currently experiencing respiratory symptoms with test results pending.

In a statement, Grey County says the affected residents are isolating and receiving care.

In an effort to prevent further spread, roommates and high-risk contacts are being closely monitored, universal masking has been implemented for all staff and visitors, and residents in isolation are limited to one Designated Care Partner.

The home is encouraging all visitors to remain current with recommended vaccinations, especially those that protect against respiratory illnesses such as influenza and COVID-19.

Visitors are reminded to refrain from visiting the home if they are feeling unwell.
