The Stratford General Hospital Foundation is celebrating a year of "winning and giving back" with the return of its 50/50 fundraiser.
Over the past year, the hospital foundation has awarded $86,505 in cash to lucky winners in the Stratford area.
The fundraiser also raised over $46,000 that supported the purchase of new medical equipment for the hospital. The proceeds will help purchase a brand new point-of-care ultrasound or POCUS for the Critical Care Unit.
To celebrate the first year of the 50/50, the hospital foundation is offering bonus tickets for September’s draw.
A $20 package will earn you 50 bonus tickets and $40 will get you 100 bonus tickets.
The foundation has set a goal of $55,000 for the coming year. Proceeds from upcoming 50/50 draws will help fund the purchase of a Neoprobe Gamma Detection System for the Surgical Services team.
Tickets for the September anniversary draw are available now at www.sgh5050.ca and can also be purchased in person from the Foundation Office and Volunteers of Stratford General Hospital Coffee Shop, during regular hours.
