Stratford police were involved in a joint enforcement blitz with the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) on Wednesday.
Working with the MTO's transportation enforcement officers, Stratford police stopped 21 vehicles, with 18 of them undergoing a commercial vehicle inspection. Eight of those vehicles were put out of service.
Seven citations were issued. Four of them were for operating with an expired registration. Two were for not wearing a seat belt.
One was for driving with tires that were so bald that the wiring was exposed.
