Feasey steps down as Maroons head coach

The Chatham Maroons are on the hunt for a new head coach.

Brennan Feasey stepped down Thursday night following the Maroons 6-3 victory over the Legionnaires in Sarnia. The team says he has accepted an assistant coaching position with the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League.

Maroons General Manager Richard Santos will step in as interim head coach.

In a media release, the organization said it's confident in the coaching staff and leadership already in place, and nothing else within the organization will change.

The organization added that they're already having productive conversations and have several strong leads for the head coaching position.

The Maroons are off to a great start this season, currently sitting in second place in the Greater Ontario Hockey League (GOHL) Western Conference with a 9-2 record.
