The Chatham-Kent (CK) All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) Club is planning a Poker Run in an effort to raise money for the CK Hospice.
According to CK ATV Club President Jacques Caouette, the ride will have stops at five local Legions, beginning and ending at the Highgate Legion.
After registering, participants will be given a sheet that will be stamped at each Legion. Once the stamps are collected and the riders return to the end location, they will receive a poker hand which could win them up to $1,000.
Caouette is hoping to raise around $8,000 to $10,000 for the CK Hospice, while also acknowledging the local Legions.
"Hospice always needs the help there. They do so much for the community, and also I believe the Legions need the support and to get more recognized," said Caouette.
This is the second Poker Run of the season for the club, with the proceeds of the first fundraiser going towards Ashley's Corner in Tilbury.
The fundraiser will be held on October 3.
