A man accused of sexually assaulting three teens and one young woman in Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton in 1997 is expected to plead guilty in October.
Jason Davidson, 53, formerly of Chatham, is set to plead guilty on October 23 in Chatham court.
Davidson was denied bail several times last year because the prosecution told the court that releasing Davidson would erode public confidence in the justice system.
Davidson is accused of sexually assaulting the four women between March and August of 1997.
Davidson was arrested in Campbell River, British Columbia on October 26, 2025 and faces 15 criminal charges, including kidnapping, forcible confinement, uttering threats, sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault causing bodily harm, sexual assault with a weapon, and theft.
Three publication bans prevent further information from being made public, including evidence and the identity of the alleged victims.
