Break and Enter
Chatham-Kent (CK) police have charged a man of no fixed address after a break and enter took place.
Officers responded to Sandy Street in Chatham on Monday at around 6 p.m. after receiving reports of a break and enter.
According to investigators, the man allegedly broke into a building that is under construction. Police searched the building and found the man hiding inside.
The 35-year-old man was arrested and charged with breaking and entering with the intent to commit a crime.
Mischief over $5,000
A Wallaceburg man is facing several charges after an incident in Camden Township.
CK police were called to a home on Tramway Road at around 10 p.m. on Friday for a mischief complaint.
According to police, a man went to the home to possibly purchase an RV. While there, the man became aggressive and allegedly caused damage to several things around the homeowner's property.
Officers arrested a 43-year-old Wallaceburg man. He has been charged with two counts of mischief over $5,000.
He has since been released with a future court date.
Prohibited Weapon
A Romney man is facing a weapons charge after a traffic stop in CK.
At around 2 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to John Street West in Blenheim for a traffic complaint.
According to investigators, one of the drivers was in possession of a prohibited weapon as defined by the Criminal Code of Canada.
CK police arrested the 27-year-old Romney man and charged him with possession of a prohibited weapon.
He has since been released with an October court date.
