A fifth person has put their name forward to be Chatham-Kent's next mayor.
Ryan Gow, a supply chain professional, officially filed his paperwork on Tuesday. He and his family live just outside of Chatham, with Gow having lived his entire life in the area.
He explained that he's running because he believes the municipality needs a practical leader who can truly unlock the area's potential.
"I am running for mayor because I believe Chatham-Kent's best days are still ahead of us. Our municipality has incredible people, strong businesses, and tremendous opportunities," said Gow.
If elected, his main focuses would be on economic growth and job creation, responsible financial management, improving infrastructure, and supporting strong and vibrant communities throughout CK.
Gow joins Mayor Darrin Canniff, Councillors Lauren Anderson and Michael Bondy, and Wallaceburg farmer Nelson Burm on the ballot.
CK's election will be on October 26, 2026.
