CK man arrested after ex-girlfriend assaulted

A 45-year-old man wanted for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend has been arrested.

According to Chatham-Kent (CK) police, the man allegedly broke into his former partner's home on Boxing Day and assaulted her.

She was treated by Emergency Services for injuries and was later referred to Victim Services.

An arrest warrant was issued for the man, who was spotted on Grand Avenue West in Chatham on Thursday.

He was arrested and charged with breaking and entering to commit an assault and three counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
