The Municipality of Lakeshore celebrated the opening a new dog park at the Atlas Tube Centre Wednesday afternoon.
It's the second and largest dog park in the municipality.
"We've got just under an acre of land all throughout. Fenced in, we've got two separate dog park areas, we've got a large dog area and a small dog area. We've got rocks, we have trees that will grow and mature. We also have a great water feature as well where you can fill up your water bottle and it has a dog bowl," said Vanessa Stratton, Executive Director of Community Services with the Municipality of Leamington.
Residents are asked to pick-up after their pets and report any concerns to town staff. Waste bags and receptacles are also available on site.
"We're just really happy that it's going to be a place where everybody can come, dogs of all sizes, people everywhere; it will be a great spot to gather," said Stratton.
